The tiny islands of Gili Layar and Gili Rengit are off the southeast coast of Lombok, Indonesia. I was allowed to visit them as part of an island hopping trip next to Bali/Gili Meno/Lombok and Gili Gede. The impressions of nature, culture, people and the underwater world, which was still intact at the time, made you linger reverently in this splendor of colour. In my pictures, the borders of the colors blur into an intoxicating and at the same time calm existence in the here and now.
