Reef

Reef is a painting created in summer 2021 on Thulhagiri / Maldives. Characterized by a colourful, lively and engaging underwater world, Reef has grown step by step. But also the interplay of sea, palm trees and spectacular sunsets surrounded by dramatic cloudscapes captivated. The soul found peace and balance on this beautiful island to devote itself entirely to the painting.

The final sealing of the painting with an epoxy resin surface reflects the water surface as the boundary between the maritime underwater world and the tropical island world.
