Roussillon I

The summer of 2019 took me to Provence in France, among other places. The air, the warmth, the shimmering play of colors found one of their highlights in the wonderful town of Roussillon. An endless number of warm colors from red to brown to ochre and almost yellow - alternating with gray rock and sandstone. The residents impressively take the color scheme of their houses as a reflection of the surrounding nature. So I collected various earth pigments in order to also manifest a reflection of this fascinating landscape in my paintings.
